Webcam Mouse Control

I'm looking for a good free program that will let me use my webcam and some colored tape on my fingers? Thus allowing me to right and left click, click and drag, and move around the mouse.

I tried CamSpace, but it was waaay too slow. Thus, the program also needs to be lightweight and fast.

A bloke I was working with used "max-msp" or something named similarly to follow coloured objects, it worked very well, however the program was hardly lightweight, & seriously expensive, but I'm not sure if there isn't a freeware version called "jitter" It's a fantastic programming interface, you "wire" modules together with data paths.
