Hello,

I just found a WORKING Microsoft Flight Simulator v2.10A (DS DD 5"1/4).

The problem is that the floppy disc is a bit "noisy" to my taste.

So, which program i need to make a working backup of this jewel ?

other question : is there a software that can make an "image" of this protected disc (some like RAWRITE, WINIMAGE, etc...)

Thank you for your help.

Write protection is not copy protection.

This diskette has copy protection, which is usually based on an error planted at a specific spot on the diskette that the software checks for. WinImage doesn't handle copy protected diskettes.

Kryoflux will probably handle that floppy. But then you'll need the Kryoflux device itself, of course.

What do you think, Mike? Anadisk?

Teledisk (already suggested) should be able to do it.

CopyIIPC can make a backup. CopyWrit was another I vaguely remember. (CopyIIPC had a specific PCjr version because of the non-standard diskette controller.)

CopyIIPC with "SnatchIt" was the classic hacker way to make an image.

A Central Point Option Board can certainly do it - and from the same people who brought you CopyIIPC/CopyIIJr.

As always, test the copy to ensure the copy protection software worked ...

Thank you very much for your replies and your help.

I'll try different options and i'll come back with the results.

Thanks again to all.
