Hello all,
I just wanted to tell you about a recent acquisition.
I picked up a sweet Olivetti Philos 44 at a vintage radio rally. I was drawn in by some Commodore laptops, which were great, but had no power supplies. Then I noticed another laptop, in a leatherettte bag. On opening the bag, I saw that it was in good condition, and included the power supply.
The seller said that is was working, and he asked me to 'make an offer' when I inquired on the price. I decided to go low at first, and offered £3, never thinking that he would take such a low amount. Not only did he accept my offer, but he actually seemed grateful that I was taking it off his hands.
For that price, I never expected it to be 'fully' working. At best I thought it might boot from floppy only. Not only did it boot, but the HD appears to be flawless.

Now it's in my collection, and I am on the lookout for my next bargain.
Happy collecting people.
