Is there a way I can open software on a plus system without a mouse. Like can I hit the tab key to select things on the screen and enter to open stuff?

Thanks

If you're just wanting to see if the keys are working, I guess the easiest thing to do would be to use the programmer interrupt key to bring up the monitor window and then type away in that.

No OS required!

Google macintosh keyboard shortcuts

Some basic shortcuts, to save the google search

Arrows to select icon.
Apple-O to open selected file/folder (finder)
Apple-I to get info on selected icon (finder)
Apple-W to close a window (this one works in just about every application, much like CTRL-F4 or ALT-F4 on a PC)
Apple-Q to Quit (MOST apps use this shortcut, but not all)

There are many, many more, lots of app dependent ones too. I find myself using Apple-W or Apple-Q a lot when I am working on my macs, kind of like I end up using CTRL-F4 and ALT-F4 on PCs rather than mousing to the close box, its just quicker on the keyboard most the time ;-)
