Tandy 2500XL Floppy Drive Motor

Hi all,
I have a Tandy 2500XL that has a SONY MPF120-02 Floppy Drive. The drive light will illuminate and it will seek but the diskette drive motor will not turn. I have looked at the drive carefully. It appeared to have a few cold solder joints on the +5 traces around the motor. I have re-flowed those. I will give it a try this evening to see if it was that. It also has one 47uf 16V Cap near the power connector and a 4.7uf 25V close to the eject lever. Those MAY be bad or it's the motor. Is there a way to apply power just to the motor pin leads to see if it will turn?

I tried it. The drive motor spins now. I just get the "Not ready reading drive A:" message. Changed it from 1.44 to 720K in the setup, no dice. Oh well, Maybe I can clean it.

I am unfamiliar with the 2500... does it use a Tandy 1000-style 3.5" drive where the power is supplied through the data cable, or is it a normal drive with a separate power connector?
