It has been a bit of a battle but that is the beast limping along the runway.

I need to add some more hardware, and put a lid on it, and pay for some more electric, and turn the heating down.
(as an aside I did get an old version of rt11 running on the 80mb IBM scsi too)

----
I still need to get back to the emulex UC01 to free up the UC07 for other things.
The "samsung" bug on the SCSI2SD bit me for a while - I see the latest release has addressed that.
what fun ;-)

Thanks for all the help.

qbus system is using a mentec processor board and an UC07 SCSI card.
I need to free up some cards for other projects.

My UC01 disk controller does not have any boot roms.
My 2 high 11/73 does not have any boot roms.

BUT ... I want to run that 11/73 with my UC01. Apart from typing in a boot program every time I boot - what can I do to get some boot roms into my chassis?

DDV11 - quad vs dual

DDV11 - quad vs dual

The simplest way is probably to find a BDV11.
"Roe"
Thanks
I had a look at the manual for that device. It is a quad board.

As I have a serpentine backplane - I think that means I only have A/B + A/B in the bottom.

Any clues for a dual card? or am I not looking hard enuf. Is there some other card I could use that has boot roms - even if I dont use that cards functionality?

Dual height.
Pictures (unedited) of the machine is athttp://www.scotnet.co.uk/iain/DEC/11-73/ M8192 card.
How did it boot when I first got it? It didnt - it had a unibus white "snake" cable heading over to an expansion cabinet. I could not find anything in that cabinet with boot roms, but I have not had the time/guts to fire it up and see if it ticks over. Break to ODT and hand key in a boot?

I am currently running on a mentec '73 - which is quad and has nice boot roms - ethernet, rl, rk, mu,tu (etc).
