Hi all, I just acquired a vintage Toshiba 3100e/40. (286 processor, 1MB RAM). I was able to install Toshiba MS DOS 3.3 on the hard drive, and it's working just fine.

Question: how/where can I get a mouse driver installed?

Should I try a higher MS DOS version? Honestly I was kind of hoping to keep 3.3 as long as there is a mouse driver somewhere. Thanks!!

What kind of mouse are you attaching? A serial mouse compatible with Microsoft serial mice?

Most mouse drivers should work on DOS 3.3. Usually the generic Microsoft Mouse 7.x or 8.x drivers should works fine. You might also try the open source CTMOUSE driver, it uses a bit less RAM.

I do not like CTMOUSE because it does not work in Win1x/2x for me.
I always use the oldest M$ Mouse-Driver e.g. "mouse.sys version 5.02"
Then I have alway a functional mouse with Win1x-2x, Gem1x, Geos, etc..
CTmouse is nice, but does not work for everything, I don't know why.
