Paradise PVC2 questions on Olivetti M19

It has three slots, to big for M19 internal.

Olivetti ETS 1010 / 2010 - Syntrex Aquarius - what is the operating system?

I have field technical manual of ET 111 (and many other ET and ETV) and I have been apprentice at Olivetti in Frankfurt. So basically I know what to do. The problem here is that the field service manual does not contain the base board circuit diagram, that is another manual which I don't have...

Paradise PVC2 questions on Olivetti M19

Hello, question about the left side riser card: Is this board integrated fuse? Would you supply power to the M19 through such thin lines?

Olivetti ETS 1010 / 2010 - Syntrex Aquarius - what is the operating system?

Hello Joachim, looking forward for your answers. My ETS 2010 is here but I currently can't test it as the ET-111 typewriter is dead. I didn't manage to fix it yet.

Drop-in NEC V20 CPU Emulator with EMM and MicroSD - MCLV20_Max

There is a CP/M Emulator using the 8080 Emulation of V20/V30, someone here can point you to it, I forgot it's name.

Drop-in NEC V20 CPU Emulator with EMM and MicroSD - MCLV20_Max

Yes, the original Iomega Guest driver requires at least V20/V30. Not the new PCZip driver released arround last christmas, this one is fine wit 8088 and 8086.

To see the ETV 260 / 3000 mainboard, I would have to open about 35 screws... And after taking a photo reassemble again everything... Sorry. without having any other reason you won't have any chance that this happens. That machine is not really service friendly.

    Olivetti M19

It's some sort of composite video on different frequency as usual. Maybe only luminance part for greyscale. No, but ETV 2700 is totally different, NEC V40 chipset with integrated CPU, much smaller board.

    Olivetti M19

Yes, there are differences on the board to provide the Chinch connector for monitor signal and power. The 9 pin is still there but it has different timings, so ETV 260 monitor can't work on it. I haven't found yet a monitor to work with it, even CRT2700 would need to change the timings, maybe...

What would make sense is a riser card for the left side exapnsion slot. This would also fit to the ETV 260 and 3000 if you make it a bit longer.

    Olivetti M19

It does not make sense to have a POST diagnostics card for M19 as it's BIOS does not support the port 80h diagnostics port output like AMI Award or Phoenix BIOS. Like M24 an other early Olivetti PC it might output on the parallel (printer) port (never tested with M19).

    Olivetti M19

Yes, you identified the boxes correctly. The box for the keyboard is also quite thick.

    Olivetti M19

No, it is a rebranded M19. Hermes (Swizerland) was owned by Olivetti and sold a lot of devices under Hermes name. There are also versions of other PC like M24 and several of the ET series electronic office typewriters even got a quite unique new chassis design. And the other way arround, the...
