    Olivetti M19

It's some sort of composite video on different frequency as usual. Maybe only luminance part for greyscale. No, but ETV 2700 is totally different, NEC V40 chipset with integrated CPU, much smaller board.

    Olivetti M19

Yes, there are differences on the board to provide the Chinch connector for monitor signal and power. The 9 pin is still there but it has different timings, so ETV 260 monitor can't work on it. I haven't found yet a monitor to work with it, even CRT2700 would need to change the timings, maybe...

    Olivetti M19

What would make sense is a riser card for the left side exapnsion slot. This would also fit to the ETV 260 and 3000 if you make it a bit longer.

    Olivetti M19

It does not make sense to have a POST diagnostics card for M19 as it's BIOS does not support the port 80h diagnostics port output like AMI Award or Phoenix BIOS. Like M24 an other early Olivetti PC it might output on the parallel (printer) port (never tested with M19).

Yes, you identified the boxes correctly. The box for the keyboard is also quite thick.

    Olivetti M19

No, it is a rebranded M19. Hermes (Swizerland) was owned by Olivetti and sold a lot of devices under Hermes name. There are also versions of other PC like M24 and several of the ET series electronic office typewriters even got a quite unique new chassis design. And the other way arround, the...

I never would have found it using that name! Crazy price.

    Olivetti M24 / AT&T 6300 Keyboard Emulator

Can you run the keyboard test in M24 customer test diskette? What does it tell what kind of keyboard is it? ANK-number, Keyboard 1,2 or 3? Does the test fully pass?

    Olivetti M19

    I can't find it.

Olivetti M280 would anyone have the setup disk

There is only the user manual, which I found in archive.org. This printer is from MS-DOS times. MS-DOS did not have a centralized printer management, so there is no generic MS-DOS driver for any kind of printers. Each software for MS-DOS has to bring it's own driver. For some special model name...

Paradise PVC2 questions on Olivetti M19

There used to be some "Bus Mouse" which connected with a Mini-DIN connector to low profile ISA cards... If you can find one as a complete set...?

Paradise PVC2 questions on Olivetti M19

Yes, it's designed for that. Think, it's only 4.77 Mhz without your overclocks. And there is the original expansion box for M19 to plug on the left side. And ETV 260/3000 has very high internal riser, looks strange, and even at 8 MHz this riser card links the printer board over a 15 cm flat...

Paradise PVC2 questions on Olivetti M19

One of my M19 has been modified from a previous owner to have a low profile riser, slots to the left and right. It must be some "standard" part from another low profile PC. It's looking ugly from rear, but works.

    Philos 33 Laptop arrived today

Yes, until we haven't found real working drivers, these laptos are no fun. And the plastics is so fragile that I even don't toiuch them often, always something breaks away...
