I am just another eighties child geek who finds herself circling back to where it all started in computing. An Apple IIE was my intro to the fascinating world of computers. Since then I lost ground because of blind tech that really didn't teach first principles of computing or the necessity of understanding what a computer is and why it does what it does. I seek the heart of computing. This lead me to the Amiga and the fascinating world of eighties bbsing. My heart was grabbed by that robotic voice of the Apple IIe and I still feel like it's singing whenever I get a chance to hear it. I am now learning linux via vinux and hope to get in to good guy hacking. I would love to build an eighties portable computer that has a braille display. All I have is passion and instincts, my computing fairy has never steered me wrong. I am accessing the forum via my IPAD. I hope to learn from you all. Oh and I'm a big fan of the retro computing podcast.
