I study computer history and older computer architectures as a hobby. I've lived some of the history - starting with Basic on the Vic-20, then C64 with its sprite graphics, the early IBM's with DOS and edlin, a 5155 "portable" that got me through college, a 16 bit Leading Edge with amber screen, then generic 386, 486DX2/66 with Doom II and Duke Nukem (the golden age), the awesome Pentium MMX, then of course the P2, P3, etc with a detour into UNIX workstations like the UltraSparc64, Linux and OpenBSD. I collect items related to Data General's Nova computers and the early era of computing.
