    D Bit FDADAP boards

Thanks, This is the one I already have and that I use for dumping 8" floppy disks. I thought that all 8" drives need the TG43 signal, but re-reading this thread, it's apparently not true. I'm going to check the documentation of the drive I use. It's a relativelly modern double density, double...

    D Bit FDADAP boards

I'd like to buy such an adapter, but I've got no answer from info@dbit.com Do you know if we can still purchase it ? The stock status date is still in 2022.

California Intel iPDS portable CP/M-80 computer - ICE and EPROM programmer

Thanks ! I understand now that pdfs are not located at the same place as floppy disk images in bitsavers: http://www.bitsavers.org/pdf vs http://www.bitsavers.org/bits The firmware is in the pdf section what was a bit misleading (http://www.bitsavers.org/pdf/intel/iPDS/firmware/)

California Intel iPDS portable CP/M-80 computer - ICE and EPROM programmer

The iPDS discussed here is in very nice conditions ! Regarding the floppy disks, I don't find any in bitsavers for the iPDS. Would it be possible to create an image of those discussed here ? The association I'm member of has an iPDS (along with a MDS-800) but without any floppy disk.

    MAD-1 Computer

Hello, I've recently created a new thread concerning the MAD-1 computer ( https://forum.vcfed.org/index.php?threads/mad-1-looking-for-information.1247595/), but I may have better continued on this one since the MAD-1 may not be considered as a PC clone. Exploring some Goupil G3 related 8"...

    MAD-1: looking for information

I finally found some technical documents on bitsavers: https://bitsavers.org/pdf/madComputer/mad-1 One of the pdf includes a description of the BIOS power-on checks, from the same Ryan who has written the code I guess. The document date (Oct 24th 1984) corresponds to the code date (Oct 23th 1984).

    MAD-1: looking for information

The CHM has a MAD-1: https://www.computerhistory.org/collections/catalog/X1620.99A Are there members of the CHM on this forum ? It is to be noted that while exploring some 8" floppy disk for the ealier Goupil G3 that I have dumped recently, I found some BIOS source code related to the MAD-1...

    MAD-1: looking for information

Hello, I am looking for information about the MAD-1 computer, like a user or technical manual, photos of the internals. I didn't find much information on the web, so I'm asking here. The MAD-1 computer seems to be rare. I'm interested in the MAD-1 because the French Computer maker STM-Goupil...

CCPM : interpreting date and file stamps

Looking at the CCPM documentation I was refering too, the base date for CCPM appears to be January 1, 1978. The rest of the interpretation is certainly the right one. The floppy disk image I'm looking at is actually CCPM-86. The manual of this version also mentions January 1, 1978.

CCPM : interpreting date and file stamps

Hello, The CCPM documentation describes specific directory entries for file date/time stamps. For example page 2-24 here: https://bitsavers.org/pdf/digitalResearch/concurrent_cpm/1034-2023_Concurrent_CPM_Programmers_Reference_Guide_Jan84.pdf...

Looking for a replica of the original CP/M 2.2 8 inch disk

Some people (like me) are still discovering CP/M nowdays :) I recently started to develop small tools to explore the 8" CPM floppy images I had created and extract files from them. I have around 5 formats for now, and from what I am reading, I guess there's a long way to go if I want to get an...

Looking for a replica of the original CP/M 2.2 8 inch disk

I have a question regarding floppy formats for CP/M and derivatives. I've read ealier that some floppy formats seem to be named, like "A1" Is there a list of all 'standard' floppy format for CP/M and derivatives ? Or did each computer manufacturer 'invent' its own CPM floppy format ? I'm...

Looking for a replica of the original CP/M 2.2 8 inch disk

Chuck, I've seen in another thread that you have also shared the images of the original MP/M floppies. Thanks for this ! Having these type of generic operating system floppy disks is very valuable.
