I will make some minor enhancements and detection in a couple of days such adding some boot sector viruses signatures, that were present in Wildlist.org "in the wild list" from 1995 up until 1999
but were not previously included. In the meantime just added some screenshots and updated links...
oh sweeet thank you for the inclusion. now regarding to why it is still in Beta, there are couple of reasons, but 2 of the major reasons are (1) had tons of features that I wanted to incorporate into it before I make a final release, like the addition of Polymorphic virus detection engine...
the possibility of encountering new DOS viruses "in the wild" is slim. yes the knowledge is there but you would probably more likely to encounter or get win32 viruses, backdoors and trojans or worst ransomware from stuff you download from the net these days. however I have seen, DOS viruses...

If this is indeed some boot virus infection causing unreadable disks , then if you could find a way to run my portable antivirus in your machine, it can definitely get rid of that boot sector virus like Stoned, Michelangelo, etc.. no need to boot from clean disk as it can disable the virus...
I just want to share my old antivirus program I've created sometime like 16 years ago. It was kind of useful back those old days in our university since during those times, DOS viruses proliferation were very high. VCheck detects around 200+ of the most common viruses found in my country back...
