The cassette deck in my Spectrum 128K +2 is no longer working. It isn't the belts, the gears aren't meshing properly because there is something wrong with the intricate workings of the tape assembley, which I can't figure out. Anyhoo, it no longer works, and makes a nasty noise and unravels any tape put in it.
i was wondering if anyone knew of any details as to replacing it with an external version, using a standard cassette player.
Alternatively, anyone have a free speccy? 48k to +3, I'm not fussy!
