Hello. I wanted to open this diskette drive and clean it before using it, but it does not seem like it can be easily disassembled. It's a 3 1/2" drive, but smaller than a regular one. From a laptop. From peeking through the door, the diskette carriage and top head appear to be part of the cover. The heads are mounted from the side instead of the back, on really large carriages because the seek motor's shaft is far away.
I've taken apart a few thin 3 1/2" diskette drives in the past, and I don't recall seeing another one like this! Usually you can remove the top cover with relative ease.
