Recently I just got an IBM RS/6000 7023 - 260 for free. It's a huge machine with very interesting hardware. The problem is that when trying to turn it on it immediately gets stuck on error E080. This error is related to Service Processor flashing malfunction. There is a procedure on how to remedy this error by loading a floppy onto the system with an image of the service processor firmware. I have tried the procedure but I always get error 4ba00827 or 4ba00828. Those are related to the firmware image. I suspect that the machine waits for a firmware image with the same revision of the already installed system firmware. The only firmware image I managed to find online was SPX05217, the final firmware revision of the system dated from 2005. Is there any way to find the previously released firmware revisions? If not, is there any other way to get past error E080 without replacing the system planner itself?
