Is this flight stick any good?

Another day, another box of old stuff I didn't know I had. I was going through some stuff my parents brought over from my old bedroom when I got to a bin I swear contained my old chemistry set. Turned out to be another weird treasure trove of random crap I pilled in there and forgot about. Among the flotsome I found this:

Its still got a price written on it from the thrift store, and the cable ends in 15pin gameport and what looks like a serial port. I don't believe I ever got this one working. But it is very heavy, so I'm wondering if that means its maybe good quality?
