My usual attempts to find documents have failed, so I fingered I'd ask the wise gurus here. 
Its a really clean RCA Videotek data terminal VP3501
I had a peek inside to get a handle on what I was dealing with. Make sure nothing was leaking, or anything had let the magic smoke out. I got a good idea about power and video in and out, but the jumpers are a mystery to me. Kinda happy to have a 1802 now under my roof. I'm not sure if the modem section is connected directly to a phone line, or if some sort of coupler is required. I'm also curious if the modem can be bypassed and if I could just use this as a serial terminal.
