Hi all
I am on the hunt for an 88-2SIO board and some of the blue pcb holders for my Altair.

Can anyone help me find one?

I would also be on the look out for:
88-16MCS (16K) static RAM boards
88-PMC 2K EPROM board
88-DCDD Altair floppy disk controller board
And a BUS expansion kit.

Any help greatly appreciated.
Steve

Hi,

Have you considered an 88-2SIOJP board? They come ready to go for a decent price!

... Tell Martin I told you about his board ... he helps me with problems so I want him to know I am spreading the news.

JM Precision is a company in the UK that sells several Altair reproduction parts including the circuit board card guides - see:

Hi, Try searching for an 88-2SIO on JMPrecision, nothing comes up, I don't think they sell 88-2SIO boards of any kind.

OTOH, Martin's boards a fully assembled for about $125 ... ready to plug 'n play. Not very difficult to re-configure either.

That is correct - JMPrecision sells some repro Altair boards but unfortunately not the 88-2SIO.
My recommendation was primarily to point them out as a source of repro card guides.

Hi,

Much more affordable is the source in the USA: https://retrobrewcomputers.org/doku.php?id=boardinventory

and the S100Computers Club: http://s100computers.com/Cards For Sale.htm

The nice thing about the S100Google Group is we meet online in a ZOOM session every two weeks so people can pose questions and get a variety of answers to help solve build problems, repair problems and new product problems etc.
