OCR Software

Wondering if anyone has used a decent cheap/free OCR package for windows.

I'm trying to scan some of my old docs on my scanner with a document feeder.

It came with read iris 11, but I find it leaves alot to be desired. I seem to spend more time trying to get the software just to work (or just stop crashing)

I'm using ABBYY Fine reader 6.0 Sprint .It's a 2004 version but it was included for free with my new Lexmark Pro705 .I'm very pleased with it.It has excellent OCR and you can immediately send the document to MS word for editing.
