This is a really stupid question but I didn't know where else to ask for help. So today I opened up my Toshiba 27AF44 to unplug the VSM cable. That part was simple enough, but when I try to put the CRT cover back on, the bottom wont go back into place no matter how hard I force it. Can anyone here help me?

If the PCB has front mounted controls which poke out through holes underneath the screen at the front, check that they are actually all lined up with the holes and poking out through the holes, and DO NOT apply any more force otherwise you run the risk of breaking whatever it is that is preventing the PCB and rear cover from fitting fully home. Also check that everything which should protrude out through holes in the rear casing (adjustment controls, connection sockets) is also lined up with the holes in the casing.

When everything is lined up OK the cover will just slip on as far as it should go without any problem.

Hello there! I just so happen to own a similar model of tv (20AF44)
Sometimes, the pcb doesn't like to go in all the way. This is what it should look like fully inserted:

If the pcb looks good, double check around the rim of the cover to make sure it's properly lined up with the front cover

Feel free to give us an update, whether it's fixed or not, and have a good day :D
