  • From now on we will require that a prefix is set for any items in the sales area. We have created regions and locations for this. We also require that you select a delivery option before posting your listing. This will hopefully help us streamline the things that get listed for sales here and help local people better advertise their items, especially for local only sales. New sales rules are also coming, so stay tuned.

Hi, I have a collection of 8-bit (and some 16-bit) computers and consoles that have been in an attic and a shed for over 15 years, so I have no idea what condition they are on the inside. Here are the following systems that I have:

Atari 800xl
Commodore 128
Commodore 1541 tape drive
Atari 1040STf
2 Atari SF314 Drives
Atari XEGS
Turbo Grafx-16
Laser 128

I am not very good in soldering or reading schemedics, so I need someone who can help me in assessing these computers and see if any work needs to be done with them, plus I want to learn how to do it as well. The person must be living in the DC/Baltimore area (I live in Maryland, near the DC border), no exceptions.

There are a bunch of us (myself included) in the area. It might be easiest for you to bring the machines to local events, like the periodic repair workshops that are held at the System Source Computer Museum, in Hunt Valley.

When is the next one? Is it within a month from now?
