Quick question!

An IBM keyboard with the following on the (very faded) label:

1389969
55-0139549
22-08-1986

What would it originally have been supplied with? Would it work on an XT?

I don't know the keyboard layout yet, but it does come with the detachable cable with a regular 5-pin DIN socket.

AFAIK, I don't think it's a Model M as they start 139...

This is what mine says (still my main keyboard, typing on it now).

Model M, PS/2 logo, 102key.
 
How about a picture? Or at least a more detailed description?
 
Just took a big box fulla keyboards over to storage today, so I can't even compare model numbers right now. I do believe that with a detachable cord tho, it's most likely a Model M.
