So I am still unpacking the boxes in my garage from the move last May (yea, I got that much "junk") and I come across an IBM 5151 at the bottom of a heap. No idea when or where I picked it up. So I gingerly escort it down stairs to my "lair" and plug it up to my IBM 5162 to see if it still works.
power up and I start hearing a hiss. unplug, replug, same hiss. take cover off to reseat vid card and discover its a CGA card, not mono like a i though. I remember reading thats very bad or soemthing ;) So after digging through some other boxes, I find a full length Hercules mono card. AND a CT1350B (8bit sound blaster card) to boot! score! I swap vid cards and hope for the best. Well I get the blinking cursor but no further POST activity. But at least the monitor works! i am so happy over joyed about that. My first PC (I still have/use my 5150) had the 5151 and I love the great glowing green of happiness! However I think my original monitor was trashed a long long time ago... nothing relavent... just thought Id share my moment of joy with you all.

I know exactly how you feel. Yesterday I was digging through some boxes, looking for a monitor board to cannibalize a flyback from, and in a box I found a HP-150. Still haven't found the keyboard, though...
