Configure 3c509 packet driver on XTRA

Hello how should i configure the 3c509 Crynwr packet driver. My 3c509 is mounted in a vertical (expansion slot?) 4 slots with 8-bit isa.

I tried just to run the 3c509.com, but it leaves me with the option dialoue.

My 3c509 combo is mounted in the second slot (from above), the driver wants
<options> <packet_int_no> [id_no] [io_port] [board_num]

Frankly i have no idea of even what the io_port should be, board_num what's that and id_no?

Options and packet_int_no is optional?

0x60 works for most packet drivers.

yep the 3c509 packet driver can configure io and irq automatically. those options are only useful if you have more than 1 so you can specify which you want the PD to use.

Well i gave up on the crynwr driver it is not supported on the 8086, message tell me i need a 186 min.

I also downloaded promise.exe (Netware 4.0) it also contains a 3c509.exe, is this also a packet driver or a protocol from Novell?

I tried to run/load it but is say no "3c509-dos-1: The LSL is not loaded"
