Hello,

i have here a unknown IBM 8-BIT XT-Card with no ports on the backside. I front of the card is a sticker on a chip with "69x1012 C. IBM 1985". On the backside there is a sticker with 6487836 A24969 5190 ( or 5198 ? ) SW.

hmmmm 6487836 says Enhanced Graphics Adapter ( EGA ) but where is the Port for the Monitor ?

Can anyone help me to recognize that card?

You mean this adapter?: http://ibmmuseum.com/david/3270pc/Display2.jpg

It is in an alternate set of display boards for the 3270PC (the more common adapters are shown at http://www.seasip.info/VintagePC/5271.html#video). I've only seen it one time before: In the set I have. Some of the chips are moved around from the more common version (and more closely tied together, unlike the other set that had the Programmable Symbols board as an option), so I don't know the true function of that portion of the adapter in the 3270PC video subsystem.

If you have the other two cards to go with it (http://ibmmuseum.com/david/3270pc/Display1.jpg, http://ibmmuseum.com/david/3270pc/Display3.jpg), it would be more useful...

Yes, that is the adapter. Unfortunately it was a bad buy on ebay because I wanted to have an IBM EGA card.
Thanks for the info.

Yours is interesting with the back bracket - This set of adapters were normally packed very tightly. I'm surprised that someone separated them. It doesn't appear that I have a picture of the three cards together, but I can take one.

Too bad you don't live closer - You are in an area that several of my ancestors came from - 125 to 150 years ago...

Do you have any other cards you can't identify from something like the same lot?...
