A shame we didn't meet years ago. I let two truckloads of IBM PS/2 "stuff" go very cheaply. But then, it was the kind of machines that you already have, and I kept the "good stuff". I have had this equipment well over 10 years at this point. At one time, I had well over 100 IBM PS/2 machines, and some Valuepoint's, as well as PS/1's, PCjr's, 5150, 5151, 5160, 5170, etc. blah blah. The machines I have now are the absolute most sought after and collectable IBM PS/2 computers ever made. Starting with the Server 720, which was probably the most powerful MCA machine ever made ( mine has 6 CPU's in it ), my collection is pretty nice. Here is a partial list of machines:
Server 720
Server 500
Model 9595A ( with Type 4 P90 complex )
Model 9595 ( with Type 3 150MHz complex )
2X Model 9585N ( with Pentium overdrive CPU's, extremely desireable machine ! )
At least another 8595 with P60
Model 77i with Pentium Overdrive
Model 90 ( can't remember what complex, might be Pentium )
2X Mod 76i
Model 60 ( needs floppy drive )
IBM external SCSI enclosure
Netfinity 5600 ( dual P III 1GHz)
eServer Xseries 230 ( dual PIII 933MHz)
( I may have those backwards )
couple of spare T4 P90 complexes
Lots of IBM PS/2 MCA parts, some in original boxes
SCSI drives and trays
cables, slot covers, etc.
MCA adapters ( no audio cards )
spare complexes
IBM memory ( lots )
I also have some very nice IBM manuals. In original binders. ( A shame I just junked a PS/1, Server 300 and Server 320. Nice machines, and also MCA )
I'm doing this from memory, but this is AT LEAST what I have. Normally, I would provide pictures, but this stuff is all buried in storage, and you probably know that these VERY HEAVY AND LARGE computers are not easy to move around. I'm waiting to hear from serious buyers before I move on to the next step. So far, I have had interest, but I don't get the feeling that anyone is real serious yet. I'm not giving this stuff away, but would be willing to listen to serious offers. I have a lot of money invested that I don't expect to get back, but I also know that there are collectors who would pay very dearly for these machines if I was to list them on eBay. I'm not however willing to package up 100lb boxes. If you know what the stuff above really is, then you will appreciate this nice collection. Everything works, although I would certainly expect some of the drives in the arrays to be dead in the Servers after sitting all these years. The few machines I have turned on THIS CENTURY all started and ran fine. I can throw in plenty of SCSI HDD's. The Server 720 has Windows NT Enterprise Edition, the only OS that will recognize all 6 CPU's. I'm willing to let these computers sit for some time unless someone makes a great offer, so let me know if you are really interested. ( They have been in my basement since the 90's. Climate controlled and well taken care of. ) 2X PC365 ( dual Pentium Pros in both ) Thanks for your interest.
