Firdt off, it's been a while, I've missed this place.

Anyways, I got some things lately I'm not 100% on.

First is what I think is video card memory:

I've never seen it before and don't know what it lives in. The top one is the top, the red chip below is the underside. I have 4 of these all up, 28pin.

Next is what seems like a controller card:

It's got bondwell and 8 turbo hard disk controller printed on it. Is it for an amstrad?

And finally, are any of these of use to anyone? Worth me keeping them? Thanks.

You are right on the first count, it is a video card memory module (256K x 8, 70nS) like the ones in the board I have

and the second item is definately an MFM hard drive controller, but for a Bondwell (possibly one of their laptops). I have a stack of 5 of them sitting right here next to me on the desk. I have no way of testing them, so, they'll go into a box until I do.

The second looks like a hard disk controller/adapter. What are the numbers on the two large chips? Bondwell had its own line of PCs (both Z80 and x86).

I have an old graphics card (16 bit ISA) that has 2 chips which look very similar to the ones in the 1st pic. Never knew these were removable! Now I must find out lol!

The second one does look like a controller, more specifically it looks kinda like a controller daughterboard judging from the 4 holes and the 2 short cables on the right hand side.

Ok, large chips left to right:

EL6116LP-10
ELCAP 5088

2nd chip:

P82064
L9090469

The 6116 is a 2Kx8 SRAM and the P82064 is Intel's version of the WD2010 MFM controller. The thing resembles an XTA drive from a register standpoint (maximum of 8 heads) and although it supports DMA, it appears that it uses the 6116 as a sector buffer.

My guess is that it was part of an XT-class laptop.
