Best DOS diagnostic utility?

There's a bunch of them out there; Norton Utilities, PC Tools, Mace Utilities. MSD still is pretty good for chasing down IRQ and port settings.

I regularly use Checkit, Micro-Scope 2000, Dr. Hardware Sysinfo (Peter Gebhard), and Snooper. These are all from the mid 1990s.

In the informational department I like Snooper, and perhaps Checkit or Amadiag. However, one would have to ask how big you want it. Are you using a big system with a hard drive and space doesn't matter, or is this supposed to fit on a floppy along with your OS and other programs? Norton's SI is 133K and Snooper is 155K. Both of those are OK on a floppy. For IRQs, debug is good and the MS version is about 15K.

PS: I've got a zip of a bunch of them on-line here.
