I also have several boxes of miscellaneous parts, CD-ROM drives, and a number of 486 to P300 computers and motherboards that I have gotten from businesses that were throwing them out. I have a ton of software, some in unopened boxes. I also have 2 oem IBM PS-2 floppy drives and 2 seagate 20 MB full -height hard drives in the original packaging.

I have stuff that I have forgotten I have.

I live in metro Atlanta GA

Come and get it.

Brian

quantumechanic,

I live in Chattanooga and would be interested in some of the equipment you listed. I don't have enough room for everything, but I'd be happy to help anyone who doesn't live close enough to pick up something they want to get it shipped.

Send me a private message on the board or email me at thosmm att yahoo dott com.

Regards,
Tom

I would not mind some boxed DOS/Windows 3.1 software for my collection, if you can ship media mail.

Tachyon are you going to pay that person a visit?

Yes. I'm hoping we can make arrangements for me to head down to pick up a few things. If anyone needs me to pick something up, let me know.

Tom

On my list of things I'm interested in are:

IBM 5150 (PC)
IBM AT
Compaq Portable 2
Zenith EasyPC
ISA cards of various types
MFM Hard Drives

If he needs to get stuff out of his house immediately, I can load my car with as much extra stuff as will fit.

I hope you drive a big SUV, your list alone looks like it will take up alot of space.

:D

Any boxed software of the DOS/Windows 3.1 era would be cool. But if he has more then you can fit here is what I would prefer:

engineering/scientific/mathematical software/CAD
xtreegold (both dos and windows), norton desktop, os/2 stuff
dos games
graphics software
programming languages of any kind

I also have a Zenith-Heathkit H-79 (???), the homebuilt trs-80 knock-off that could boot with dos or cp/m

also a Apple III

Can you post a digital picture of the stuff by chance?

The plan is that I'm going to go to Atlanta next Wednesday to pick up what I can get from quantumechanic's before they move and take what I can't get to a thrift store, etc.

If you see something specific that you want and are willing to pay shipping after I get it to Chattanooga, I'll add it to what I'm bringing for my collection.

I can fit quite a bit of stuff in my car and unless there is a lot of stuff I want that he hasn't listed, I'll be able to get about a 'seat' worth of stuff for others.

I'll take pictures of the vintage gear and my car dragging the ground.

tachyon
