  • Thanks for the link to the Oshpark 'extender connectors'. I assumed the 80-conductor cables would provide better signal integrity, but if 40-conductor cables work adequately all the better.

    Glad to help. When I first posted about these extenders, I include a video showing them installed with extra long cables on my 8/M, running the "accumulator increment" test. I ran the test for several hours with no problems. I had considered the 80-conductor cables for just the reason you mentioned but was actually advised against it by a couple of the engineering heavyweights on the list. I don't remember the specific reasoning but it's all in the archives. Somewhere.
