Have a Mountain Racecard, which is an 80286 board with 8k cache that plugs into your XT to make it "faster"

Yes, the ribbon cable plugs into the 40 pin inline and the CPU socket. It's in the 80287 coprocessor socket for safe keeping.

I'd guess 8mhz as the jumper for the coprocessor says either a 6 or 8mhz clock. The old reviews of it said it could run "faster than a stock AT" which was 6mhz IIRC.
