Larry2 does not work with the mt32-driver. Perhaps I have the wrong version?

Yep. The three earliest SCI0 game releases use a slightly different, title-specific MT-32 driver format. I probably should have mentioned it earlier in the thread, but for compatibility with the modified serial driver, you'll need to use the later versions of the affected games, as follows:

King's Quest 4 - version 1.006.xxx
Leisure Suit Larry 2 - version 1.002.xxx
Police Quest 2 - version 1.002.xxx
