Still pretty disappointed in killing my 8032 universal board, have been working on it for a week now no progress. Today I decided to take a look at an old 8250. Well about an hour later it is now running again. So happy about this but yet it is so crazy as I'll prob never need or use it.

Sorry just had to share my joy, one 8050 left on the shelf, one pet 2001, and 3 universal boards to repair yet and i'll be all caught up

Also anyone have a spare ieee-488 cable from pet to drive set they'd like to sell. Anyone know if they can be bought somewhere?

There is a Hong-Kong seller who has 40" GPIB cables for 13.99 Euros (about US$ 19.85) each, including worldwide shipping:

While those cables only can be used with a 8032-SK or 8096-SK (perhaps 8296, I can't recall), someone who has a source of card edge connectors and is good with soldering could hack a such cable to be usable with other PETs. It is probably the cheapest you can find anywhere in the world.
