Acer Acros 486DX2/50

Based on the error messages you are getting, I would guess you have an EISA system. If your motherboard is the J3, both the CMOS and EISA configuration settings are stored in a DALLAS DS1387 RAMified clock chip. Even if you can find the system disk and reload the correct settings, you're going to have to do this every time you turn off the computer for extended periods unless you either modify or replace the clock chip with one that has a good battery. I have most of the configuration files for the J3 motherboards. If that's what you have, let me know and I can send them to you.

You can use EISACFG to load them from the DOS prompt too.
