An encounter with Steve Jobs and my 3 Apple 1 computers (YouTube Video)

I did a video that talked about my one encounter with Steve Jobs in 1982 and a little about the three different Apple 1 computers that I owned over the years. The video is posted on YouTube and the link is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jkk1lIpEBpk

As someone who went to school during MECC's reign as the premier educational software house (in Minnesota, no less), I would like to thank you for the great memories playing MECC games throughout my years in school. The Apple II labs in my district lasted through my senior year in high school (2000, when they were replaced with iMacs), so pretty much my entire K-12 schooling, I was exposed to Apple II's, from playing games to word processing.

On a side note, I was trying to resurrect my personal copy of Oregon Trail this morning, but it seems the disk has finally failed. Some good incentive to start imaging all my old Apple II disks while I still can.

In elementary school the staff all thought Oregon trail was the best edutainment game ever. It was pretty cool though. It's impossible to remember apple ii without picturing the mecc logo.

Some good Apple memorabilia there Craig. I wish I had an Apple 1. I would sell it and retire!

I loved Oregon Trail and the Munchers series of games. :) Oh, and Odell Lake.

I've warmed up to (hah!) Minnesota because of MST3K and Fargo. Probably not the best two sources for Minnesota lore. :P
