Anex MAT-1 Multi User Workstation Expansion Unit for PC

Had this pop up locally; Would this allow multiple users (looks like 4?) to use the same PC?
I can't find any references online as to what this is.

Unfortunately, he's asking $200 and an hour's drive, so even as obsessed as I am with IBM PCs I'm hesitant unless this has some interesting function.
 
Most of these things were serial ports and some software to allow for several users to use very specific software on a single CPU. That kit looks almost like it was designed for real display adapters.

It's worth the drive, but the seller should provide some more information first. Even as an expansion chassis it's well worth the $200. (And it looks to be inspired by the 5161.)
 
I wish I could see through that plastic wrap to get an idea if there is a local FD or HD. That it is NOS is quite cool and he will ship for $125, but the drive would be cheaper and safer for whatever "innerds" are there. The print spooler (?) is a nice touch.

Do you recognize the connector for whatever card is installed?
