Hello, All. Do any of you have a Canon VP1000 or know anything about them?
I know they were manufactured/sold around 1987 (around the time the Canon Cat was sold/discontinued).

I have been able to find a picture, here:
http://www.thepcmuseum.net/details.php?RECORD_KEY%28museum%29=id&id%28museum%29=52&PHPSESSID=0fdc5f4de5123757cb0023058ce4c171

...but all of the specification entry blanks are empty. I wrote to the contact e-mail address at thepcmuseum.net and asked them for details about the VP1000, but I haven't received a reply.

Thanks for any help.

Update: I now know it is a Word Processor, with some additional functions.
Processor: Hitachi HD64B180ROP, 8-bit, 8 MHz

Application software is stored in ROM (instant boot-up after power-on) and the VP1000 uses the same 3.5-inch floppy drive as the Cat, to store documents. However, I don't know if the VP1000 can read Cat-format discs/documents. Still digging for more info.

Hi guys, did any of you get the VP1000 to work? What can it do?
I'm looking at one for sale for 30€, but it has no floppy on the front.
