Apple ][euro+ - not working properly

Hi, I recently found an old Apple 2 europlus in our cellar and when I tried to start it, it did not boot properly. Firstly, it did not beep. The power light was lit only faintly and on the screen, I saw very faint weird characters. The keyboard wasnt working too because nothing happened on the screen while pressing keys. Since I'm absolutely unfamiliar with any kind of electrotechnic stuff, I would be happy for any advice from you.
