Hi,
I've managed to acquire an AS/400e type 9406 F2. Sticker on the back shows the OS400 is V4R3. The hard disks were removed from the bays but are included in a separate cardboard box. In order to try and maintain the data that was on those drives does each drive need to go back in the slot it was removed from? If so is there any way to identify which disks should go where. As I have no indications on where each drive was originally.
I wanted to try and do a power on and see if its working and boots up. This was from a University and was powered off and left in its rooms until I managed to save it from going to the dump. It looks like its from 1999. Not too old
Any help most welcome as I have a lot of research to do as I dont know much about AS/400 other than they we a ton.
Regards,
