Best programs to test 386/486 stability?

What is the current best program(s) for testing a system?

I've got Topbench, Speedsys, the Vogons benchmark tools, but these seem more geared towards speed rather than stability.

Is there a program which will push the CPU and RAM to it's limits, revealing an unstable system through demanding a lot of resources?

My current test for 386 machines is to leave Doom on a demo, but I don't know how intensive that really is or whether the RAM is being fully used.

Thank you I've just tried Amidiag and it seems great... especially "twinkle twinkle little star" :)
