Hi! I use CC-Kermit 1.1 on my CoCo2 thru a 3-wire serial cable to my PC to transfer files. I don't do this very often, but when I try to use Kermit from linux it always fails. I fuss around with it for a while, then give up, boot into Windows, and do a flawless Kermit transfer thru hyperterminal. I have hardware handshaking turned off, and carrier detect is turned off, yet, kermit on linux is always stuck on the 'S' packet. Sometimes it gets past that and gets stuck on the first packet after that. I have never got it work. Has anyone gotten the linux version of kermit to talk to the CoCo version of kermit? Is it just not possible, or had there been compatibility breaking changes to the protocol? The version of Hyperterminal I use is the old version that came with Windows 98, and it's kermit file transfer works perfectly with CC-Kermit. My only complaint is that it runs at 300 baud, but that just gets me out of my chair doing something else around the house.

Thanks!
