Hi everyone,
I've been offered an 8" floppy drive Model No. 9402 (Equip. Ident No. BR802B) by CDC's subsidiary, Magnetic Peripherals, Inc.
I've trawled bitsavers and other sources for specs on this drive, and found nothing; apparently it was never listed in CDC's catalogue. Has anybody heard of this drive?
About 1/4 of the PCB is unpopulated, which leads me to believe this is a stripped down model, possibly OEM'd to other vendors. Could the drive be missing the soft sectoring logic? (According to the docs, this was an option).
