I'm trying to get a perfect monochrome screen when playing games like "The Hobbit" in RG6 mode with buff+black palette; but I can't figure out how to kill the color burst. I've been experimenting mainly with my Tano Dragon but I suposse that it will be close to the CoCo2.
The best solution so far has been disabling LM1889 IC, this way the display turns black & white; but the TV set still generates artifacts. The CoCo2 seems to use a MC1372 instead, I don't expect any differences pulling it from the CoCo...

Has anyone idea how can I disable completely the color?

Seriously?, mmm...in fact it's not a bad idea at all, at least is the easiest one...:-D

I'm trying to get the sharpest image I can get from the CoCo (or Tano) and I suposse that it involves the color burst suppresion in computer's side.

I had a composite board with two outputs.
One color, the other monochrome.
Monochrome supported full 256x192 without artifacts.
It attached to the modulator chip, and I'm sure bypassed it for mono.
