Hello!
I acquired a perfectly working Colani HighScreen BlueNote II :D
Sadly it asks me for a ROM password, as the NVRAM is gone. The BIOS is an AMBIOS labeled 41-0000-009999-00111111-060692-VER-P10, from 1992
Can anyone help me?
Thanks, kind regards!

Try the following 'backdoor' AMI BIOS passwords.

Failing one of those PWs working, find out if there's a clear cmos jumper, or pull the cmos battery and let it sit (it can take a LONG time for the residual charge to clear, I let them sit a day usually).

This almost always works on older machines, it wasn't till later machines that they started putting the passwords in flash memory, that's where it gets problematic, those you need to find a way to flash the bios chip to get rid of them, which you usually need to do externally since a normal in-machine flash would require the password to get to lol

Sorry for the late reply, thanks! AMI?SW worked like a charm! :p
There seem to be no available manuals arund the net...
I know this thread is nearly 10 years old, but I just have to say: Thank you, Jack., Thank you, modem7!

This evening, I had the exact same issue with my BlueNote II. After changing the CMOS battery, it asked me for a ROM password. Thankfully, "AMI?SW" (yes, uppercase) worked! Before the battery change, no password was required, so I have no idea what Highscreen, the manufacturer of the BlueNote II, was thinking when they implemented a default password.

But thanks to people like modem7 and Jack., who document solutions and make them accessible to everyone, I was able to solve the problem. Thanks again!
