Hi, I recently picked up a Compass 1101 but I don't have a floppy drive (yet), After a good cleanup and replacing the RTC battery and some RIFA caps the Compass works great.
Now, I was hoping there would be a way of transferring files to and from its bubble memory via serial or something, I know this can be done from DOS but at the moment only GRiD OS is installed.
I have already made a serial adapter from the special DE-19 connector to a more standard DB-25 but I'm not familiar enough with GRiD OS to know if serial transfers are possible between machines.

Thanks ;)

Yeah, that's what I was afraid for. I probably have a floppy drive coming but it will take a month or two to get here.
I guess it would take something like the PETsd or HPdrive GPIB emulators with custom GRID HDD emulation. To get files off the 1101 to without any GRiD periferals.
Or someone with a GRID server to dial into @Klyball ;)

For now I'll try and see if I can get GRIDlink to work with my Gridcase 4 running GRID-OS.
