Hi, does it turn on and do you have the manual as well? Couldn't find any current links with the manual or the device list, but would be interesting
if it programs old MMI PALs...

Thanks

To avoid having capacitors blow up, I have not turned it on.
But I can try it if there's interest.

I do have a manual for it, and several 3.5" floppies which are labeled claiming to be part of it.

Hi, I am interested and I live in DC. Unfortunately I am a relatively new user and I can't DM you :)

Thanks

OK, well, it DOESN'T work. LEDs next to the Textool sockets flash alternately red/green. The display is dark.
And there's a high pitched fairly loud squeal, I presume from a bad switching power supply.

Date codes on the ICs are 1985/1986. It's got 256 of DRAM, hanging off an 8085.

Just for interest, here's some more pictures:

I would love this but im too far, I have an 824. Would be nice to see both together. Would you consider shipping it? I have the software for it, Can I at least get a dump of the floppies you have? Would like to see if the software is different. I am pretty sure other then a few changes the machines are identical, so I should be able to repair it since mine still runs.

Heres my thread on it years ago...

Good morning Bill,
If it’s still available, would you mind DMing me your contact info as I can’t send DMs yet?

Thank you

OK, the floppies all contain the same thing. Files are attached here, zipped.
Here is what appears to be the supported device list. And it's not too exciting.

So looks like the copy you provide predates the copy I have. I will attach the copy I have for the next user. It does list the 825 in the models supported.

What version is the rompak? Is it 3.11?

Oh wow that's the oldest revision i've seen so far! Explains the really old copy of the software. Here's the pack I have. Would love to open both up and dump them and see the differences.

I figured I'd open it up and dump "the ROM". Found 4 chips, soldered in.
So that's now too much like work.

Hi,

is it possible to get a pdf of the user manual?

Best regards
