i happen to have an old nec ready desktop that i changed around some hardware in it and am looking for some drivers for the hardware i put there i am lookin for dos drivers for an aha-2930cu scsi card, cardinal 020-0443 modem, even an epson pc para board card and usb drivers for dos and such. i am running dos 7.10 on the machine. if anyone might have drivers or knows where to find em let me know

Adaptec makes it easy: http://www.adaptec.com/en-us/support/scsi/2930/aha-2930cu/

Internal modem: It is a 14.4k model so not exactly useful but it should include a cloned version of the Hayes command set. Most communication software work with it as a generic or Hayes modem.

If the Epson card is a parallel port card, then just set the jumpers correctly for LPT1: or LPT2: depending on the rest of the system and it should just work with any DOS software.

USB drivers for DOS: I will let you search for the two. They are incompatible with each other and different hardware setups work better with one than the other. In some cases, the drivers won't work at all or conflict with other drivers so I will leave you to test the various potential options. Read the instructions before installing.

now to figure out how to install all this stuff since not everything installs the same in dos as it does to windows. the reason for going with dos is that it is pretty fast on the machine and it works. i also would like to be able to run irc and a few other things on the old machine. the machine is an old nec ready one built right at the time nec took over packard bell and they too did the same shit packard bell did. they maxed out the motherboard with the fastest processor, there was the modem/sound/joystick card in there as well same as what packard bell did. also i do have an smc ethernet card in the machine a 10baseT card which has the ethernet port and a bnc port. i would love to do tons with this old machine running dos i also am on a hunt for a dat drive but mostly am not coming up with much in the 5.25 area since most of them were a propriatary 3.5" height and didnt convert to 5.25 well at all. funny thing is the machine has a fully working 3gb quantom hard drive from 1996 since that is when this machine was built and nothing wrong with the drive. if anyone around can do a little help to make this machine work flawlessly let me know
