Hi all,
I recently found a deal on an Epson-LQ1070+. However it, was sitting in a warehouse for a few years and had another slightly heavy computer accessory sitting on top of the paper guide and dust cover. This has caused the two parts form a concave "Bow". They still fit, but they are curving a bit closer to the roller and print head than I'd like. Has anyone ever straightened out bowed plastic i.e. heat, bake, heat gun etc? What is a good way to reverse the bowing and make them straight again?

Thanks for the help.

I've used a very hot lamp (a 500w halogen bulb) and levers/clamps to gently soften plastic and move it back to where it needed to be. Heat will definitely help soften things up so that you can make adjustments, but it's never going to be new again.

A heat gun would work too. Just be careful to not apply too much heat or do it too suddenly.
