Hi,
I've been given 2 Exidy Sorcerer micros, but they don't display anything when I switch them on. Both power supplies seem ok as they produce a range of voltages for the circuit board, so I was hoping for some guidance for what to do next. If I can get them working then I will donate them to the Museum of Computing in Swindon where they will be available to try out by the museum visitors.
Maybe someone on these forums can answer these questions - all answers gratefully received:-
1. Does the computer display on a ordinary (old style) TV or does it need a special monitor.
2. Are there any know issues with the video generators for these micros? It seems strange they both have the same problem, so maybe I'm just doing something wrong.
3. Are there any simple checks I can carry out to narrow down the problem (I have a digital multimeter but no oscilloscope, logic probe etc.).
4. What would I expect to see if the machines started up correctly?
Thanks in advance,
Tony
