I own 4 Franklin Ace 2200 machines and have had them in storage in my basement for 40 years. Also along with 4 large plastic bins of 100+ floppy disks.
Once upon a time, this was my life. And I cannot recall how many hours I spent on these machines. I kept them in case one day I would have the time to play again.
That time has come but I am having troubles.
#1. I have forgotten almost all the commands to make it do things.
#2. All of them boot to the 2x00 v 6.0 screen and NO A prompt or anything else. I find it hard to imagine ALL 4 are dead?
#3. I have tried dozens of disks, including Appleworks, dazzle draw, and games I am fairly certain just loaded when I turn on the machine.
I get nothing but that 2x00 V 6.0 text at the top no matter what I try.
Suggestions?
